 Gold Arrow Camp is a magical place where our daughter and son experienced exciting activities, had lots of fun with new friends and discovered gifts and talents within themselves that they hadn't yet discovered. The reason we send our kids to Gold Arrow Camp is because it is a special place where kids can get away and just be kids and have the chance to relax and try new things in a safe and encouraging environment.

Dear Parents,
 
Together with our amazing 2008 staff, we would like to welcome you to this summer at camp.  Our goal for each of our campers this summer is to provide them with an experience full of fun, friendship, and growth.

For first-time parents, sending your child to camp for the first time can be an anxiety-filled experience. Here are a few tips for parents who are facing "childsickness" for the first time:

•  Talk to experienced camp parents for reassurance.

•  Look at camp photos and news to see what's happening here.

•  Plan fun, adult outings and trips (if all of your kids are here with us!).

•  Remember the gift of independence and adventure you are providing your child(ren).

As you say "good bye" to your camper, try to hold back the tears until they've departed.  Send them to camp with a confident smile and wave to reassure them as they start their camp adventure.

Please include addressed, stamped postcards or envelopes for your child to use to send you letters while they are at camp.  We find that a lot of campers are so busy that they don't want to take the time to address their letters, and they drop them in our mail slot addressed to "Mom & Dad."  :)  We appreciate your help with this!
